Lead Exhibit Tech


Fusion Expo Services is hiring part-time/temporary Lead Exhibit Techs. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and detail oriented, with a strong sense of personal accountability and excellent communication skills. This team member needs to be eager to learn about our company, our processes, and our industry throughout the initial training period and beyond.

Lead Exhibit Tech’s responsibilities will include:

  • Manage general contractors and install & dismantle labor teams

  • Manage show service coordination, logistics, and other event-related services with partners and project managers

  • Oversee and assist in the careful unpacking and repacking of client assets

  • Enure proper assembly and disassembly of temporary and permanent exhibits

  • Oversee installation of graphics and lighting

  • Double check finishing details and clean up

  • Ensure proper set-up and troubleshooting of all electronic and technology equipment

  • Problem solve for unexpected factors, such as damaged components or missing shipments

  • Regular reporting of the assembly and disassembly work flow process through the In-SIght App 

  • Use technology and documentation activities to ensure quality outcomes and adherence to Fusion’s standard operating procedures 

  • Act as the main liaison between Fusion Expo Services and the exhibitor

  • Help deliver total client satisfaction on each project

  • Maintain a cool-headed, professional demeanor in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment 

  • Lead by example and manage team effectively and efficiently

  • Skilled use of hand tools, power tools, ladders, positioning assist devices such as hoists, as well as forklifts and other specialty equipment necessary to complete portions of the project

  • Understand, support and execute all work in a safe and efficient manner

  • Express thoughts, ideas and suggestions verbally to the team and the client in a clear and professional manner

Expectations for all team members:

  • Report for work prior to start time

  • Dress in proper attire and required uniform when necessary

  • Support pre-startup planning to meet daily progress goals

  • Communicate with all team members with professionalism and respect

  • Arrive in healthy and non-impaired condition

  • Possess good physical stamina

  • Required to stand and/or walk for long periods

  • Frequently bending, twisting, reaching and moving

  • Periodic lifting heavy of cumbersome display items

  • Willingness to work flexible hours including early morning, afternoon, or night shift

  • Overtime hours with little notice is a must

  • Weekends are often required as part of a typical work schedule

 

Experience and Education Requirements:

This position requires 3+ years of management experience in the trade show and event industry.

Interested individuals must be able to satisfactorily complete the Fusion hiring process requirements which include comprehensive assessments through references, phone interviews and in-person interviews, and yearly background checks. Must be 18 years of age and eligible to work in the US.

Compensation:

Fusion is committed to providing competitive pay with an hourly wage rate depending on the job requirements and location. Overtime, weekend and holiday pay are always considered in our pay structures. Travel costs and per diem are included when it meets our project requirements.
